This painting tells a story I don’t often speak about. A journey from darkness into light.
A few years ago, I went through a traumatic experience that deeply affected my mental health. My mind became a very dark place….
Healing wasn’t instant, it was slow and fragile, but carried by love, support and time, I started to see the light again.
In the middle of the darkness, something unexpected happened. A single rose bloomed in my garden for the first time (I didn’t even know I had a rose bush!) and completely out of season. Their scent became an anchor, a reminder to breathe, to stay present, to hold on. A small sign of light when everything felt overwhelming.
‘Into The Light’ reflects that journey…. the shadows, the struggle, and the gradual return of hope.
If you’re going through your own difficult season, please know you’re not alone. Even in the darkest moments, light can find its way back.
